Prerequisites

During the application installation process it maybe necessary to turn on the developer mode on the device. It can be done by pressing 7 times the Build number in the about device/phone section. Please note that, the menu view can be different in the Portrait mode. The 'About phone' section is accessed when the signageOS application is installed on the device. By pressing 'MENU' button on the remote controller the popup window is displayed with the Settings and Ben_Q_Launcher options.

At the bottom of the 'Settings' section the 'System' tab can be found where the 'About phone' option is located.

After that, the developer options section should be displayed in the device settings The administrator mode can be turn on in the BenQ Launcher as well by pressing on remote controller: MENU, ↑ ↑ (2 arrows up) ↓ ↓ (2 arrows down) and ← BACK (return).

Installation steps

1. Turn on the display
2. Connect the display to the Internet. It can be connected via ethernet or wireless connection
3. Download signageOS latest BenQ android app via Chromium web browser: latest app is at https://a.signageos.io/benq (opens in a new tab)
4. Select Settings
5. Input the code for Administrator mode

(MENU, ↑ ↑ (2 arrows up) ↓ ↓ (2 arrows down) and ← BACK (return))

6. Allow installation of unknown sources

7. Install the BenQ android app (find it File Manager located on the applications list installed on the device)

8. Restart the display

Once the display starts you will see a short Verification code in the middle of the screen.

Installation steps

1. Turn on the display
2. Connect it to the Internet
3. Download signageOS latest BenQ android app via web browser: latest app is at https://a.signageos.io/benq (opens in a new tab)
4. Press HOME (house icon) on IR remote control + press 1688
5. Select Settings

6. Go to Security

7. Enable Installing applications from unknown sources

8. Install the BenQ android app (find it at your USB Storage or ES File Explorer)

9. Restart the display

Once the display starts with the signageOS App, you will see a short Verification code in the middle of the screen.
